Andrea Anders

Anders is a native of Madison, Wisconsin. She was raised and born in Madison, Wisconsin but now is a resident of Los Angeles, is originally from DeForest. She earned a diploma from DeForest Area High in DeForest in 1993. In 1997 she earned an undergraduate degree in fine arts from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. She graduated in 2001 and graduated with an M.A. in Fine Arts from Rutgers University. Anders and her Joey co-star Matt LeBlanc and their relationship lasted from 2006-2015. The two first met on the sets of the show, which has since been cancelled. The director's brother is Sean Anders (Sex Drive, Never Been Thawed). Anders was first working in the theatre beginning in 2001. She was an understudy for Mary Louise Parker for the Broadway production Proof. Anders also appeared as Elaine Robinson later in The Graduate. On the Jump appeared on the Arena Stage. New Doors was performed at the Guthrie Theater. Cold/Tender as and New World Rhapsody are two New York Stage & Film shows. In May 2007 Anders was cast as a character in her first Geffen Playhouse performance of Fat Pig. Fat Pig was closed by July 1st, 2007. The character she played was Jeannie the accountant. Anders had her first TV appearance on a Dannon commercial that ran between the years 1990 until 2006. Anders' most famous roles include Nicole Allen, a former wife of a footballer as in The Class and Joey as Alex Garrett (a lawyer). She was on each episode of the two series and neither show was re-run. Anders is also a guest appearances in One Life to Live, Law & Order, The Guiding Light and Tru Calling. In 2003, she was Donna Degenhart on five episodes of the HBO drama Oz. She also made minor appearances in The Stepford Wives (2004) as Heather and Sex Drive (2008) as Brandy. Anders has also played Brandy in 2008's film, Sex Drive. Anders is also featured on two TV pilots that failed. Spellbound as well as News To Me were the two unsuccessful television pilots. Anders has recently been cast for the part of Better Off Ted by Victor Fresco which is an ABC workplace comedy that is made with a single camera.
