Elizabeth Jane Hurley, an English actress and model who gained notoriety in the 90s as Hugh Grant's lover, was a former English model. As Grant was at the centre of media attention because of his global film's box office success, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Hurley accompanied Grant in a plunged black Versace gown, which was joined with the gold safety pins. The actress gained immediate media fame. Her association to Estee Lauder has been the most memorable moment in her career. Hurley's first modelling job was at Estee Lauder when she was 29 years old. She has been a model since 1995 for their products, especially perfumes like Sensuous Intuition or Pleasures. The most famous of her roles is her character, Vanessa Kensington, in the successful spy thriller films International Man of Mystery (2007) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (2000). The title track is a fun and humorous track that garnered only a small amount of interest from the media. I kissed a Girl, a confident song about her curiosity over sexuality with a sharp electronic-pop beat, gained a larger impression later. It quickly sparked controversy as some critics derided it as a proponent of gay relationships as well as others argued that the graphic scene the song depicted sparked masculine fantasies about sexuality. I Kissed a Girl's blend of passion, a polished song and an enthralling chorus made it become a top-ten hit in a variety of countries. The song helped sell more albums including one of the Boys (2007). Hot N Cold's sharp, bouncey second single was very popular. This album that Perry made for herself, was a huge success, selling over three million copies in United States.
